Cinderella Comes of Age - 29 January 2019

Almost 21 years ago to the day club members, in association with Maidstone Grammar School, put on a performance of Cinderella. A video was made of the performance and after converting to DVD format was shown at our club meeting. We were delighted to be joined by many members of the original cast together with family and friends. £500 of the procceds was donated to Quercus Theatre Group, a local group supporting people with physical, sensory and learning  disabilities, hearing and visual impairment. Thanks to Chas for the photos.

President Catherine was also presented (after a 27 year delay!) the picture given to the founder President of our club as a gift to the club from the members of our twin club in Dordrecht.

Christmas Meal - 11 December 2018

Ho Ho Ho!! Members, partners and guests enjoyed our Christmas Meal at Oakwood House. Some really got into the spirit of the festive clothing. We had a keenly contested 'Heads & Tails' fundraiser run by Paul, winners in our first 100 Club draw of the year, a well supported raffle, plus a gratuity for the Oakwood staff who look after us all year round. After the meal we were entertained by Chris Gillard with a mixture of seasonal and classic songs and some even took to the dancefloor. Thanks to Catherine and Pete for the photos.

Medway Valley Walk - August 2018

In place of our regular weekly meeting we had a social event with a gentle circular stroll along the banks of the Medway from Wateringbury, with an option of a boat trip for the less mobile. After several weeks of heatwave the weather could have been kinder to us, serving up light rain and occasional thunder and lightning. However the rain kept us cool and we finished up at a pub ready to demolish the superb buffet supper provided. Many thanks to Alan & Catherine for taking the pictures.
