Maidstone Riverside Rotary has been actively participating in a local environment project to restore a disused allotment in the Parkwood area of Maidstone. In conjunction with other local organisations including Morrisons, Fusion Maidstone (www.fusionhlc.org.uk), Golding Homes, Hands of Hope (www.hohcharity.co.uk) and Christ Church, Parkwood, plans are to clear the rubbish from the existing site and create a series of raised allotment plots for use by the local community.
