Swim Relay
March sees the launch of our annual Swim Relay event in aid of Demelza at Maidstone Leisure Centre. Originally run in 2015 this major event focusses on children and families by providing a means for local charities and organisations to raise money. It's a sponsored swim for people of all abilities and ages and is a real fun, community event. In 2024 participants raised over £25000 for Demelza and other local charities and clubs. The 2025 event is on Sunday 23rd March 2025. All are welcome. Click here for more information

Kent Police Mail Voice Choir Concert
On 29th March 2025 we are hosting the popular Kent Police Male Voice Choir at Cornwallis Academy, Hubbards Lane, Maidstone ME17 4HX.  All proceeds from the evening will go towards helping Police and Rotary charities.  Tickets are £10 per person available in advance by clicking here.  Doors open at 6.30 for a 7.15 start and the event is expected to finish at 10.00.  All are welcome. Onsite parking available. Terms & Conditions apply.

Christmas Charity collections
Members and volunteers collect money donations from shoppers at some of the main supermarkets during the run up to Christmas.  Proceeds go to a number of named charities and also to bolster Riverside Rotary general charity fund for distribution to other good causes.  2024 dates were:  13th & 14th December at Morrisons in Parkwood and 20th, 21st and 22nd December at Tesco in Grove Green.

Race Night
In October we take over a local venue  to run a fun race night with all proceeds going to a local charity. In 2024 we visitied Harrietsham Village Hall in support of Space 2 Be Me. All are welcome at these events. It generally starts at 7.00 pm and runs through to 10.30 and a hot supper is included in the £10 ticket price.  People do need to bring your own drinks and glasses though and also any snacks.

Bikes & Tools for Africa collection
October sees our annual collection of old or unused bikes in Maidstone Lockmeadow to send to people in need of them in Africa.  Bikes are re-furbished and unsuitable ones are either sold for funds to help with the appeal or stripped down for spare parts. In 2024 we collected nearly 220 bikes.  Our thanks go out to Lockmeadow Marketplace and Seymours Transport for their help with the 2024 event.  Our 2025 event will be held on Saturday 25th October

In 2024 we also collected old tools, also for Africa. We're expecting to do that again this year so if you have any tools or bikes for us we'll be happy to take them off your hands then.  If you're unable to bring them to the marketplace on the day please call 07793 817226 or email us here. We may be able to collect from you depending on location.

Charity Shoe box packing
Every year members donate contents and pack shoe boxes with Christmas gifts for children in orphanages in Moldova. Packing of the shoeboxes full of gifts took place at the club meeting on 26th November 2024.  If you'd like to make a financial donation to the ongoing project please contact us by clicking here

Car Park Marshalling
Through the spring and summer months we help with car park marshalling for a number of local events.  All are listed on the accompanying table.  If you'd like to help out please let us know by clicking here.
